John Graham Looking To “Kickbutt” At Pocono

It’s been eight races since Canada’s John Graham has tackled the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

Two weeks ago Graham was at the famed Monza road circuit in Italy driving for Matech Motorsports Team in the “Kickbutt Shelby Mustang.” Now, Graham returns to the United States steering towards Pocono Raceway this weekend for the running of the Pocono ARCA 200. For Graham, this is taking another step in his ARCA RE/MAX Series career by tackling the demanding 2.5-mile facility, but the veteran racecar driver knows that the support he’ll be receiving from the veteran Andy Belmont Racing (ABR) team offers the opportunity for a career best finish on Saturday afternoon.

“I’m ready to get back after it,” offered Graham. “The ARCA RE/MAX Series is an important stepping stone in my racing career. The learning is priceless as far as I’m concerned. Now to have the opportunity to compete at Pocono Raceway, I’m eager to make the best of it.”

Aiming towards his fifth career ARCA start Saturday afternoon, Graham knows that many challenges are facing him but with determination, any obstacles can be squashed. “Realistically, I want to finish the race and finish in the top-15,” Graham stated.

“Saturday’s race will be very demanding. The ARCA RE/MAX Series is 10 times tougher this year than it was at this point last year. However, the Andy Belmont Racing team is enjoying their success as well. As a driver, I’m excited to be returning with them and hope for a strong run,” offered the former NASCAR Nationwide driver.

With a stout entry list set for the first Pocono Race of the season, Graham may be carrying the most unique sponsor in the Pocono 200. His sponsor, Kick Butt Amped Energy Ballz is continuing to enjoy a taste of firm Motorsports marketing and Graham would like to continue his sponsor’s awareness this weekend.

“I have a great sponsor,” Graham stated. “Kick Butt Amped Energy is a new and exciting product available in Canada and they are starting to become a familiar picture here in the United States. It’s their first ARCA race of the season and it would make us look proud to walk away with a solid finish and a little television time on Saturday.”

Veteran car owner Andy Belmont and Graham’s mentor offered, “We’re glad to have John Graham back with us. He doesn’t have a lot of experience here in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, but he has learned an awful lot. He is always up for new challenges and definitely this weekend’s race at Pocono Raceway offers that criteria. Finishing is our biggest goal for John this weekend and I think he’ll do that and make us all proud. Not to mention we’re excited about having one of the most unique sponsors in ARCA onboard our No. 14 Ford Fusion this weekend.”
