Some of the most famed and historic tracks in the entire United States adorn all three schedules of the Fifth Anniversary 2007 Season in the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts. These fine facilities that are stacked in history and tradition make each event during the 2007 season a must attend show.

Not only are the speed plants within all three ASALMS divisions’ schedules rich in those long established traditions, but the events themselves are marked down on team calenders as a must-win event and if nothing else, an honor just to be a part of. One of those prestigious races also happens to be one of the biggest, tradition laden, end of the season special events in the country and once again the ASALMS is a part of that tradition.

The cars and stars of the ASALMS Northern Division will be a part of the prestigious 38th annual Oktoberfest Weekend, which is set for Thursday-Sunday October 4-7, 2007. The ASALMS Northern Division will headline the Saturday October 6, 2007 portion of the weekend by crowning the 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Champion, Rookie of the Year, and GM Performance Parts Shootout Champions in the running of the ASALMS Northern Division Season Championships/Oktoberfest 100.

“It’s very important to me to establish tradition within the ASALMS and our Northern Division Season Championships at LaCrosse during Oktoberfest Weekend is one of those such traditions. “ Explained ASALMS Co-Founder/President, Ron Varney. “The whole ASALMS family looks forward to the first weekend in October, that automatically means it’s Oktoberfest! It doesn’t matter if it’s 60 degrees and sunny or 10 degrees and snowing, it’s such a thrill to be a part of Oktoberfest Weekend and be able to crown all of our Northern Division Champions in front of such a huge crowd. “ Varney added.

“One of the most important elements of the Oktoberfest Race Weekend are the touring series that compete, and the ASA Late Models Series is a perfect fit for the event. “ Stated Chuck Deery, General Manager of the West Salem, Wisconsin speed plant. “When you can combine the talented drivers with top notch equipment and let them go at it on the big 5/8th mile oval, the race fans are in for a heck of a show. We are going to have some fun, so we hope everyone will join us! “ Deery added.
