Make Biofuel From Algae To Refuel Your Car
Jun 06, 2008
For many years algae has been the bane of South facing apartments in Cape Town and pool owners everywhere, but the green stuff has some interesting properties when exposed to CO2.
In an Origo supplied home conversion unit, algae and the captured CO2 are mixed and interact with each other to render bio-oil.
This bio-oil can then be used to refuel your car. Tax-free home fuel production of up to 2 500-litres a year is possible, which enables a range of 25 000km per annum for an average 10l/100km consuming car.
