Southeast Motorsports has signed on as an associate sponsor of the open wheel modified feature event scheduled for Friday and Saturday October 26-27th at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA in conjunction with the “Show Down on the Coast” for the National Late Model Series. Frankie Lloyd who owns Golden Isles Speedway has re-configured the track to a 4/10ths 90 foot wide speedway and the racing action has been greatly improved sine the re-configuration.
The 20-lap Southeast Motorsports modified feature event will pay $1,500 to win and $100 to start the feature. There is NO entry fee required to enter the event. There will be heat races on Friday night and the winners of each heat race will draw to determine how many cars will be inverted for the feature event. Golden Isles Speedway will also hold an open practice on Thursday October 25th from 6-9pm. The open wheel modified division will be run under UMP Modified rules with these exceptions: Quick change rear ends, coil overs, 8” spoilers, Hoosier 8” A, D or Med compounds, American Racer 8” Med or Hard compound, Gas or Alcohol, weight after the race 2,400 pounds, all allowed for competition in this event.
