Steve Ramon & Ken De Dycker Ready For 6th Round Of FIM MX1 At Mallory

Suzuki Racing

Team Teka Suzuki WMX1 team riders Steve Ramon and Ken De Dycker will enter the sixth round of the FIM MX1 World Motocross Championship at a brand new venue for GP motocross this weekend at Mallory Park in Great Britain.

Although few people have seen the layout for this weekend’s race it’s expected to be a jump-filled circuit that will see the riders spend almost as much time in the air as on the soil surface of the freshly-built track.

Ramon enters Mallory Park sat in second place in the series on his factory RM-Z450. Looking to close the gap on current championship leader David Philippaerts, Ramon - the reigning MX1 World Champion - relishes racing in Great Britain and enjoys the style of circuit normally seen in England.

“I’m really looking forward to racing in Britain,” says Ramon. “Although we have never been to this circuit before I normally enjoy the British round of the championship because the circuits are technical with many big jumps and the crowd get very noisy and excited.”

De Dycker is equally excited about racing in Britain again and the former British MX1 champion will be looking to either improve on or at least consolidate his fourth place in the championship on the newly-built Mallory Park circuit.

“I spent two years racing in Britain and I have a lot of friends and fans there,” he says. “Yeah, it’s a new track but I have ridden tracks built by the same guy who worked on Mallory Park and I expect it will be a lot of run to ride there. The British GP is always one of the better ones too and I hope to put on a good show with my factory Suzuki.”

The weather forecast for this weekend’s race is for rain throughout the weekend, which could make conditions tricky on the freshly worked surface.

"Inside Edition" covers #nascar now? Does this mean we'll see "A Current Affair" and "Hard Copy" at Bristol? Oh, those don't exist anymore?

If you wondered how "Inside Edition" viewed Edwards v. Keselowski, this apparently was script (from show site): http://bit.ly/9odkzj #nascar

@JennaFryer does this mean utter assumes that Carl would have written an old fashioned press release himself?
