The super-rich are prepared to spend it like Beckham for the ultimate bling statement – a fleet of supercars.

So ‘essential’ have they become that waiting lists have shot up and millionaires are prepared to pay vastly over the list price to queue-jump.

Celebrities including David Beckham, Eric Clapton and X Factor impresario Simon Cowell are credited with inspiring a dash for motors that can cost more than £1million.
