High school industrial technology students from Newton and elsewhere get a chance to wrench in the garage or go over the wall in the pits today when the Prairie Meadows 250 ARCA RE/MAX Series race begins at 8 p.m. at Iowa Speedway.
The teenagers’ hearts will race alongside the revving engines.
“It’s a good opportunity to get to talk to some of these guys because I’d love to be doing this in a couple years,” said Kyle Brown, 17, of Kellogg, who won his first career IMCA SportMod feature Friday at Marshalltown.
