A Kirkcaldy teenager who enjoys socialising in her modified car says she and some of her friends are being targeted by police because of the vehicles they drive.
Beverley Norrie (17), of the town’s Fair Isle Road, says she is firmly behind the police campaigns to stamp out speeding and anti social driving among young people – but claims that officers are picking on any young motorists who drive modified vehicles.
“I think that the police are just lumping all the young drivers together and classing them all as boy racers, when in fact many are very responsible drivers and just want to use their cars to meet up with their pals.”
