For Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Levi Jones and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., this Saturday’s USAC National Midget Car Series race at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., will provide a much needed dose of familiarity. Both drivers have made several appearances at the 1/4-mile high-banked oval in their career and this weekend’s one-day event will provide the duo with an opportunity to give TSR, Chevrolet and Bass Pro Shops their first USAC Midget victory of the year.
Jones has been a frequent flyer at Tri-State Speedway since he made his USAC Racing debut in 1998. Hailing from nearby Olney, Ill., Jones cut his teeth at the speedway, as he was a regular at the track early in his career. He has competed in several divisions at the facility, including the USAC National Sprint Car Series, the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series and the Midwest Sprint Car Series. This Saturday’s event will mark Jones’ first appearance in a USAC Midget at Tri-State Speedway.
