Team Makita Suzuki Racing s Ryan Dungey brought home an impressive third-place finish in the Supercross Lites class at the Dallas, Texas Amp d Mobile AMA Supercross at Texas Stadium on Saturday night.
“I felt like I got back into the groove even though I made a little mistake, ” said Dungey. “I m happy to be on the box tonight. After last week s win, we re one and three and not one and 18, so I m happy with that for sure. The Makita Suzuki RM-Z250 ran great and everybody on the Makita Suzuki team did a great job on getting the bike ready tonight. Thanks to my mechanic, Tool Time and everybody else who helped me out. “
In the Supercross class, Ivan Tedesco had a great heat race, getting the holeshot in the eight-lap qualifier and finishing second. In the 20-lap Main, however, he had a few problems but charged hard on his RM-Z450 and still managed to reel in competitors.
“This weekend s practice was the best I ve felt all year, ” said Tedesco. “The Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 felt comfortable and everything seemed to come to me pretty well. In my heat race, I struggled a little but still ended up in second and I felt like I rode well. We made a few adjustments to the bike for the Main Event, which I felt was going to be the ticket for what I needed. I got a decent start but on the first lap I got connected with another rider and went down. Then I caught up and was coming through the pack and two guys had come together on the finish line and one of their bikes flipped over and hit me on the hand and knocked me down, but luckily I m all right. It was just one of those nights. “
