Ryan Villopoto won the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship opener in his 450 Class debut Saturday night, sweeping both motos in the South Point Hotel & Casino Motocross National at Glen Helen Raceway.

“It was tough,” said Villopoto, the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider from Poulsbo, Wash. “My starts out of the gate were good, but we can get better.”
Mike Alessi was second for Rockstar/Makita Suzuki.

Earlier, Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey topped the entry-level 250 Class race, and Honda Red Bull Racing rider Ashley Fiolek took the Women’s Class event. USA Today
