Casey Stoner, riding a Ducati, brushed aside his rivals to easily win his fourth consecutive Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island on Sunday in front of his home fans.
Stoner blew away newly crowned world champion Jorge Lorenzo by 8.598 seconds in completing the 27-lap race in 41 minutes 09.128 seconds.
Lorenzo’s Fiat Yamaha teammate and seven-time world MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi fought off Nicky Hayden to take third placing.
