MotoGP: Pole Sitter Jorge Lorenzo Wins British Grand Prix
Nicky Hayden crossed the line in fourth place in front of team-mate Casey Stoner, with Dani Pedrosa losing ground in the title race after finishing eighth.
Lorenzo had built up an eight-second lead by the halfway point in the race and eased off to eventually win by just under seven seconds.
Polesitter Lorenzo, the team-mate of injured Valentino Rossi, did not get too much camera time as the focus fell on the battle for second while he was untroubled at the head of the field.
Dovizioso moves up to second in the points standings after managing to take the runner-up spot, with Pedrosa now down in third. SkySports
