Australia’s Casey Stoner underlined his outstanding pace on his Honda Repsol, setting the quickest time in the second practice session for Sunday’s French MotoGP, again in a lap record time.
After smashing the Le Mans track record in the opening session earlier on Friday, Stoner became the first man to go under 1 min 34s when he lapped in 1:33.782 in practice two.
Stoner was nearly four tenths quicker than his morning’s best and over 0.400 seconds faster than second fastest Marco Simoncelli. Sportal.com.au
