A deluge of rain prevented anyone from putting in a meaningful lap in the opening MotoGP free practice session at Estoril this morning with only Interwetten Honda’s Hiro Aoyama doing any kind of time but even he was 46s slower than Jorge Lorenzo’s 2008 pole.
Carlos Checa ventured out for one lap on the Pramac Ducati but thought better of it as it was simply too wet to do any kind useful setup.
