Jorge Lorenzo is not only edging ever closer to winning his first MotoGP title this season, but he’s also getting closer to being Spain’s most successful premier-class rider.
The Fiat Yamaha rider has now won 12 MotoGP races, which is just three less than Spain’s most successful premier-class competitor Alex Criville.
With eight races still to go in the 2010 season, Lorenzo has a shot at beating Valentino Rossi’s best of 11 wins in a single year and even Mick Doohan’s all-time record of 12 wins. Yahoo! Eurosport UK
Dani Pedrosa is determined to claim the win he missed out on last year as the MotoGP World Championship heads to America for Sunday’s Indianapolis Grand Prix.

Casey Stoner is heading to Indianapolis with high hopes this weekend as he looks to make full use of the positive strides taken at the official test at Brno last week.
Having missed last year’s Indianapolis race due to illness and with a fourth-placed finish in the inaugural event in 2008, Stoner is also eager to push his 2010 campaign on in the 11th round as he continues to search for a first win of the season.
“I’m really looking forward to going back to Indy because it’s a circuit where we were in good shape in 2008 despite the crazy weather,” said Stoner of the rain-affected race two years ago. “Unfortunately I wasn’t able to race last year but hopefully this time around we can make the most of the work we did in the Brno test, even though we didn’t have much time.”
Stoner goes into the race having finished on the podium in the five previous rounds, and currently sits third in the Championship standings on 119 points. Motogp
