Heavy rains and a whole lot of crashing caused the MotoGP to cancel the second free practice sessions this afternoon.
Clean-up crews spent around two hours trying to scrub all the spilled oil off of the Assen circuit, but ultimately the decision was made to cancel racing due to the dangerous conditions. Motorcycle News
The clean up work initially delayed the start of FP2 125cc session, which was due to begin at 1:15 p.m., and then finally forced a full cancellation of the afternoon sessions when the MotoGP FP2 was unable to start.

Final practice for MotoGP’s Dutch Grand Prix on Friday morning has been extended to 90 minutes to make up for the track time lost at Assen today.
