Feeling dizzy in the steaming heat, world MotoGP champion Casey Stoner yesterday clung on to snare his 10th win of the season in the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Stoner led from flag to flag but said he found it difficult to focus at times and made several unforced errors, one of which almost spelt the end of his race.
The 22-year-old, starting from second on the grid at Sepang, smoked away at the start to head the pack into the sweeping right-hand turn and was never headed. TheAge.com
World champion Casey Stoner confirmed his domination of MotoGP with his 10th victory of the 2007 season at the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Australian Ducati rider led for most of the race after starting from second place on the grid, finishing the 21-lap race 1.701 seconds ahead of runner-up Marco Melandri of Italy with a leading time of 43 minutes and 4.405 seconds.
Spain’s Dani Pedrosa was third on a Honda in 43:06.731 as he cut the gap on Valentino Rossi, who is second overall, to 24 points with just one round to go in Spain on November 4.

The 22-year-old, who started from second position on the grid, led for most of the race with little threat from other riders including five-time world champion Valentino Rossi, riding a Yamaha, who only managed fifth place.
Stoner finished the 21-lap race with a time of 43 minutes 04.405 seconds.
Italian Marco Melandri, on a Honda, finished second while Honda rider Dani Pedrosa - who is vying with Rossi for second place in the championship standings - was third. Frenchman Randy De Puniet finished in fourth. SydneyMorningHerald
