Chris Vermeulen says this weekend’s test run in Spain will be a litmus test for what’s to come in season 2009.
After testing well in Sepang in Malaysia and Losail in Qatar, Vermeulen and his Suzuki teammate Loris Capirossi will again be aiming to finish at the top of the field in the 45-minute timed session.
“The Jerez test can’t come soon enough for me,” Vermeulen said.
“I am sure the technicians are doing all they can to find what we are looking for.”
“The Jerez test will be interesting, as it will be the first time we’ve had a timed session – similar to a new qualifying session – with the single rule tyres.”
