Bajaj Auto has planned to strike the world with its motorbikes. For the past 12 months, Bajaj has been operating with component providers of China with an objective to build a 125cc motorbike. Bajaj is targeting the motorcycle for the cost flanked by $350 and $500 which is less compared to the bikes available in India.
Bajaj is gearing up to sell this low-cost motorbike in China and Nigeria. Bajaj has done an indenture for manufacturing with firms in China which made Bajaj ready for selling their motorcycle. They have planned to form a new brand name for this creation, separating the product from its own brand name. Bajaj prefer to go on with the product which uses Chinese components even though Bajaj brand name is superior in technology.
Bajaj has made an objective to capture 30-40% share of the 13 million Chinese bikes sold all over the world, said a dealer.
Also, Bajaj requires reinforcement in the entry level since its improvement in Platina botched to make extra sales except trimming down the sales of existing bikes.
