Speed, performance and passion will not only be on the track, but also in the sky. For the first time at WDW, there will be a flight demonstration by the “Frecce Tricolori”, the aerobatic team of the Italian air force. The morning of Saturday, June 30 will see the skies over the circuit painted red, white and green in a breathtaking show of aerobatics. A Megascreen will be available to help cheer on Ducati MotoGP Team riders Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner live during Saturday’s Assen Grand Prix in Holland before they fly direct from the finish line to WDW at Misano ready for Sunday.

The circuit of Misano will also host the fourth round of the Ducati Desmo Challenge, the race series organised by Ducati. From Thursday to Saturday, WDW fans will be entertained by practice, qualifying and the racing for the mono-marque championship trophies.

Adding to the on-track entertainment, ex-GP rider Randy Mamola will give some lucky fans the ‘rides of their lives’ aboard the Ducati Desmosedici twin-seater and raise money for the Riders for Health organisation.

Using a second track inside the Misano circuit, experienced riders will be able to test ride the exciting new Ducati Hypermotard 1100 while new riders can take part in a beginner’s riding course. Participants of the course will have the most experienced and professional instructors to help them ride in the safest of environments.

WDW is not only about track activities, don’t miss the itineraries of Mototurismo that will visit the most beautiful areas of Emilia Romagna with daily tours intended to help everyone discover the beauty and the Appenine passes. And, thinking of everything, each trip starts with courses in road safety.

For the most demanding of motorcyclists, teachers from the ‘Ducati University’, made up of Ducati technicians, designers and directors, will hold conferences on topics such as design and mechanics and focus on the technical and tactical aspects of racing, victory at world level, how to design the most beautiful bikes in the world and advising riders on how to get the most out of the Misano circuit.

Following the success of past WDWs, this year will see the repeat of the Ducati Garage contest, a competition dedicated to all customised Ducatis. The contest will be in two stages. The first part will be online where, via Ducati.com, the ten best customised bikes will be selected. The second part will take place at Misano where the final ten bikes will be inspected, judged and awarded by a technical jury of Ducati personalities, Ducati Corse riders and the WDW public. During the Ducati Garage contest, there will also be a series of games designed to test the owners mechanical ability.

As if this wasn’t enough, an area will also be set up to receive more than 2000 members of official clubs from all over the world, presenting many activities, music and exhibitions. As usual, the most bizarre and extravagant bikers will lead the way!

The star every evening will be the main stage, where there will be shows and concerts for everyone to let their hair down and enjoy the festival. Saturday evening will present ‘an internationally famous artist’ in concert.
