Hollywood starlet and paparazzi magnet Lindsay Lohan will step in for Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger to host F1 Rocks, organisers said.
“We got a call… saying Lindsay Lohan was really keen to come to Singapore,” said Paul Morrison, chief executive officer of British-based events company All The Worlds, the concert promoter behind F1 Rocks. AsiaOne
Lohan, who has starred in movies like Mean Girls (2004) and Bobby (2006), has made headlines this year for her relationship, and consequent break-up, with DJ Samantha Ronson.
Ronson is in Singapore as part of Fuel, the three-day dance party that begins tomorrow with a live gig by Underworld.
She will spin at Novus in the VIP section for the party on Friday.
She will also be present to spin at a free gig to promote Fuel at Peranakan Place tonight.
So, the burning question: Is Lohan here because of Ronson?
The relationship between the gal pals is, to say the least, volatile.
In the September issue of the British edition of Elle, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Ms Lorraine Candy, detailed how Lohan, while in London, was intent on going to events that Ronson was attending. Channel News Asia
“It’s a bunch of amazing performers whom I’m a really big fan of,” Lohan said in an interview.
Lohan said she’s also a Formula One fan.
“I like to drive. I like cars. I like fast cars,” she said. “I studied NASCAR for almost a year for Herbie. It was very hot inside those cars.”
Lohan starred in 2005 in “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” a comedy about a Volkswagen Beetle on the racing circuit.
Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home was broken into last month, and last week police arrested Nicholas Prugo, 18, on suspicion of felony burglary in connection with the case. The Associated Press
