Formula One champion Jenson Button finally got the chance rev down yesterday following his triumph in Brazil ten days ago.
The Brawn GP driver enjoyed some well-deserved rest, relaxation and romance while on a boat trip with his girlfriend, Japanese underwear model Jessica Michibata, in Dubai.
The pair reunited in the United Arab Emirates over the weekend for the first time since his victory.
She had been stuck on a pre-arranged modelling assignment in Japan while celebrated his success.
The 29-year-old added at the time: ‘I’ve been telling her, “Come on honey, you can get off work, I want to see you now”. But she can’t, she’s working. I can’t wait [to see her].’ Daily Mail
He spoke of the text he had received from his engineer Andrew Shovlin. “He had obviously had a couple of shandies,” joked Button.
But he said, “I am at home with my lovely family and I have just realised what we have achieved. We are the best in the world at the moment, the best at what we do and I can’t wait for my kids to be old enough for me to tell them what we achieved.”
‘That is something that excites me about my future — having a family and telling them, “Your daddy was world champion”.’
He suddenly saw the headlines in his mind’s eye — and possibly heard the voice of girlfriend, Jessica Michibata, telling him to get on with it — and added: ‘But that is going to be like 20 years time — before you say, “Jenson can’t wait to have babies”.’ Daily Mail
