But despite losing out on the track, it seems Lewis Hamilton is still top dog with his Pussycat Doll girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.
The couple were spotted walking arm-in-arm and gazing lovingly at one another ahead of yesterday’s race in Valencia.
Nicole, 31, is a devoted track-side spectator and is always on hand to support her 24-year-old toyboy partner.
The singer looked stunning dressed in a flattering strapped white dress and sunglasses while Lewis donned a Mercedes branded t-shirt.

As for the race, Hamilton ended up finishing second to Rubens Barrichello following a pit-stop blunder.
