Formula 1 legend and former world champion Nigel Mansell is starring alongside comedian Omid Djalili in a TV ad for moneysupermarket.com that pushes the price comparison site’s car insurance offerings.

The newest TV spot of the £20m media campaign is being implemented by creative agency MCBD and media agency Mediacom. Marketing Week

The ad is supposedly set in Mansell’s home, where he is playing with a Scalextric set, while negotiating a new car insurance rate over the phone.

On hearing an over-priced quote, Djalili appears in a heavily-branded F1 moneysupermarket.com jumpsuit, to suggest that moneysupermarket.com should be Nigel’s first port of call for a better deal. CampaignLive
