It’s been a bumpy road for Helio Castroneves in Miami recently, but Tuesday he got a chance to blaze around the track in style.
The dancing driver who narrowly tip-toed around a six-year prison sentence earlier this summer took the Maxim challenge and raced around Homestead Miami Speedway in the most exotic cars on the planet for the magazine’s November “Dream Cars” issue.
Maxim wanted to get Castroneves’ expert opinion on the Aston Martin DBS, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE, Hennessey/Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet—cars you probably will only be able to get close to in your dreams. NBC Dallas-Fort Worth
After driving each vehicle two laps, Castroneves shared with Maxim’s editorial staff his views on each car’s capabilities. The issue will hit newsstands just prior to the IndyCar Series championship weekend.

“Victory Lane at Homestead-Miami would be awesome,” he said. “Just to be back here in a relaxed environment is great.”
A victory would make him the first South Floridian to win at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Castroneves has recorded three top-three finishes on the 1.5-mile oval but never has taken the checkered flag. IndyCar
