Todd Bodine won his fifth Truck Series race Friday at Texas Motor Speedway, finishing 1.321 seconds in front of runner-up Matt Crafton in the WinStar World Casino 400.

Bodine became the first driver in the history of the series to have five victories at one track. They’ve all been accomplished in a Toyota for Germain Racing. It was Bodine’s 17th career victory in Trucks, also all with Germain. NASCAR.com

“It was a great win and incredible timing,” said Bodine, who has 17 career victories. “To have four weeks in a row like we’ve had, wrecked three trucks and have the fastest truck last week and have two flat tires. The motto of this team is never give up. These guys don’t give up.”

Bodine held off new points leader Matt Crafton by 1.322 seconds in the fastest NCWTS race at the track. Bodine’s average speed was 152.282 mph, topping Dennis Setzer’s mark from the spring of 2004.  Dallas Morning News

Johnny Benson was fourth, followed by Rick Crawford. Only nine trucks finished on the lead lap.

Hornaday, who swept both Texas races last year, had led 55 laps when he made a green-flag stop on the 99th lap. But a tire got loose from his crew in the pits and he had to serve a drive-through penalty and fell out of the top 10. He finished 19th, four laps back after coming off the track early because of an engine problem. The Associated Press
