Matt Crafton hadn’t won a NASCAR trucks race in three years. The way Austin Dillon was running, it didn’t look like that would change in Iowa.
One sloppy pit stop changed everything, allowing Crafton to take a late lead and snap a frustrating 79-race winless drought.

“I just had to hold him [Dillon] down,” Crafton said. “My right rear [tire] got hot, and I got really loose in the center, so I backed up into the entry, and then he caught me. I saved just enough so I could drive back down into the corner with him. It was an awesome race right there at the end.”
Dillon’s runner-up finish moved him up to second in the point standings. He is now 22 points behind Johnny Sauter, who finished fourth.
David Mayhew, the pole sitter, finished third, and rookie Joey Coulter took the fifth spot.
Cole Whitt, also a rookie this season, James Buescher, Nelson Piquet Jr., David Starr and Bodine completed the top-10. MiamiHerald.com
