NEMCO Motorsports today announced D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. as primary sponsor of driver Joe Nemechek’s No. 87 NASCAR Nationwide Series entry for this Saturday’s Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. located in central Florida, is a service-oriented construction company with high standards for excellency. In 2009, D.A.B. supported Nemechek in an associate sponsor role and felt compelled to step up their sponsorship to help the Lakeland, FL native again this season.
“It’s a pleasure to help a fellow Floridian and we’re looking forward to seeing our D.A.B. Chevy go for the win on Saturday,” said Bill Bachschmidt, vice president of D.A.B.
“I can’t emphasize how critical the support of D.A.B. Constructors is for our team’s effort in Daytona,” Nemechek said. “We’ve been racing on very little budget for over a year now and to have D.A.B. step up with full sponsorship means that we can concentrate on our performance rather than how we’re going to fund the program.”
By virtue of Nemechek’s 31st-place ranking in the 2009 point standings, the D.A.B. Chevy will have an automatic berth into the field but there’s nothing that would make Nemechek happier than to capture his fifth-career pole award at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.
“We’ve always qualified extremely well here and to put our sponsors on the front row would surely give our team an added boost,” Nemechek continued. “We had a strong qualifying performance with our Sprint Cup car for the Daytona 500 and we expect just as much success with our package for the Nationwide Series race.”
Nemechek, a four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race winner and former NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion, boasts seven front row starting spots in Nationwide Series competition at Daytona including four pole awards. He has two Daytona Nationwide Series wins to his credit as well four top-five and seven top-10 finishes in 22 starts.
