Brad Keselowski doesn’t get easy victories. Even after leading 188 laps, the win came down to one gutsy decision.
Keselowski chose right, Kyle Busch chose wrong and Keselowski, the driver of the No. 22 Ruby Tuesday Dodge, took the checkered flag in the BUBBA burger 250 last night at Richmond International Raceway.
Keselowski had led most of the Nationwide Series race and with six laps left, he had a big lead and was poised to win easily.
“The whole time I was running I thought, ‘How is this going to fall apart?’” Keselowski said.
It fell apart for Paul Menard, the driver of the No. 98 car, blowing a tire and hitting the wall. He caused the seventh caution, and suddenly Keselowski’s lead was gone. Richmond Times Dispatch

But Keselowski reasserted his dominance by powering through the field on new tires to pass Busch and teammate Justin Allgaier, who had also stayed out, to win by 0.261 seconds.
“We made the right moves today,” Keselowski said. “We had the car to beat.”
Greg Biffle rallied from fifth on the restart to finish second. Jamie McMurray was third, followed by Busch and Carl Edwards. Allgaier was hurt by his late strategy, falling to 15th.
Biffle, who also pitted before the last dash, had no chance to slow Keselowski.
“The 22 was coming like gangbusters. I held him off as long as I could,” Biffle said.
The dramatic ending served only to reinforce that Keselowski had the best car. Yahoo! Eurosport
