Reed Sorenson had never raced at Road America before Saturday, but the track is surely etched in his memory now.

Sorenson survived three green-white-checkered finishes and a controversial ending under caution to win his first race since 2007 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race on the Wisconsin road course.  Kansas City Star

Allgaier took the lead from Michael McDowell on the second of three attempts at a green-white-checkered overtime finish.

But Allgaier did not have enough fuel to make it to the finish after running so many extra laps on the four-mile track, and making it back to the finish line is required under NASCAR rules even though the race finished under yellow.

Sorenson and Ron Fellows took the checkered flag side-by-side and both drivers seemed to think they had won, and NASCAR officials took several minutes to declare Sorenson the winner.  Los Angeles Times

Fellows finished second in this race for the second year in a row.

Villeneuve bounced back from a penalty midway through the race to finish third.

Elliott Sadler and Mike Wallace rounded out the top-five.
