Parker Kligerman will make his first career Nationwide start from the pole after the 19-year-old driver surprisingly turned in the quickest lap during Saturday’s qualifying for the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.
“I was trembling after that one,” Kligerman said. “That was so fast in [turns] three and four, that’s ungodly fast, you shouldn’t be doing that.”
Kyle Busch, the current Nationwide points leader, will start alongside Kligerman on the front row after posting a lap at 172.485 m.p.h.
Greg Biffle qualified third, but will have to start from the rear of the field in a backup car after crashing on his second qualifying lap. MiamiHerald.com
