Kyle Busch could do no wrong Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway in dominating the 43-car field in the NASCAR Nationwide Series O’Reilly Challenge 300. Busch’s No. 18 Toyota led for all but four of the final 178 laps of the 200-lap race. He held off a charging Carl Edwards’ No. 60 Ford over the final two laps for the win.

Busch’s victory in the second-tier series was a record-tying 10th this season for the 23-year-old. Busch, whose first win of the season came on the same 1.5-mile oval in April, matched Sam Ard’s season record set in 1983.

“There were some good cars out there today,” Busch said, “but fortunately we had everything go our way and made it look easy.”

The strong run by Edwards, combined with Clint Bowyer’s sixth-place finish, moved Edwards within 91 points of the series leader with two races remaining.

Mark Martin ran third on Saturday, followed by Joey Logano, David Ragan and Bowyer. The No. 20 JGR Toyota, which has been driven by Busch, Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin and Logano this season, leads the owners’ standings by 54 points over the No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet driven exclusively by Bowyer.
