New rubber. Old rubber. It didn’t matter to Brad Keselowski, who ran the final 56 laps of Friday’s Dollar General 300 Nationwide Series race on his last set of tires.
Track position, however, proved far more important at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where Keselowski picked up his first Nationwide win at the 1.5-mile track, his fifth victory of the season and the 11th of his career. NASCAR.com
Truex finished second, while Keselowski’s Penske Racing teammate, Justin Allgaier, took the third spot. Joey Logano and pole sitter Clint Bowyer rounded out the top-five.
Kyle Busch led the most laps with 84, but Busch faded in the final stages and wound up finishing sixth.
Danica Patrick recorded her best Nationwide finish to date with a 21st-place run. Patrick finished two laps behind. MiamiHerald.com
