After finishing second six times this season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Joey Logano was a little tired of coming up short.

Logano made sure that didn’t happen again Saturday in the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway, holding off Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch for his second straight win at the track in front of an estimated crowd of 70,000. Logano became the first driver in 10 Kansas races to repeat in the Nationwide Series.

Logano, who started on the pole, led five times for 18 laps. After finishing second to Busch three times in 2010, Logano turned the tables Saturday, getting a big push from points leader Keselowski on the final restart, a green-white-checker finish. Keselowski then got past Busch on the final stretch to finish second. Topeka Capital Journal

Logano, who won in Nationwide for the second time this year, acknowledged Keselowski’s boost.

“It’s cool to get back in victory lane after the way we’ve been finishing second so much lately,” Logano said. “He [Keselowski] helped me out a lot. I’ve pushed him to a couple of wins.” FOXNews

Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

“We’re just a little bit off the Gibbs cars speed-wise,” said Keselowski, who extended his lead in the Nationwide standings to 374 points over second-place Carl Edwards, who finished 14th despite spinning into the Turn 2 wall on Lap 67. “We had some good strategy there, and we got in front of them, but we just didn’t have quite enough to keep in front of them.
