Call it Roger’s revenge.

Kurt Busch won Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600 for team owner Roger Penske, spoiling a dream day for rival owner Chip Ganassi, who started Sunday off with Dario Franchitti’s victory in the Indianapolis 500.

Busch crossed the finish line .737 seconds ahead of Earnhardt Ganassi Racing’s Jamie McMurray to complete a sweep of both NASCAR Sprint Cup races at Charlotte—last Saturday’s Sprint All-Star Race and Sunday’s 600. NASCAR.com

“This has been a dream come true, to be able to wrap up this special weekend, to put a bow on it with this Coca-Cola 600 win,” Busch said. “It’s a prestigious race, a tough race, and most of all it’s a team race. This was a fantastic job by my guys that battled all day long to keep me up front.”

Busch recorded his second victory of the season and the 22nd of his Sprint Cup Series career. The Penske Racing driver also became the seventh driver to win the 600-mile race and the all-star event at Charlotte in the same season.

Daytona 500 winner McMurray finished 0.737 seconds behind Busch for his third runner-up finish in the last five races. McMurray was attempting to give team owner Chip Ganassi another huge victory on this day. MiamiHerald.com

Kyle Busch finished third, followed by Mark Martin and David Reutimann. Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer, Paul Menard, pole-sitter Ryan Newman and Matt Kenseth completed the top 10.
