Kyle Busch showed Sunday he’s capable of upsetting other drivers outside the Joe Gibbs Racing stable. Still in the middle of a controversy with JGR teammate Denny Hamlin, Busch raised the ire of veteran Jeff Burton on the final restart of Sunday’s race.

Just after the final restart, Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton made contact, with Burton suffering a punctured tire. The incident led to a heated discussion between the two on pit road at the conclusion of the race.
“I don’t know if I touched him or got into him, cut his left rear tire,” Busch said. “After the race, he was just real mad at me. He said I didn’t race him with enough respect, and if I’m not going to give him respect, he’s not going to show me any.”
Burton was running among the top-10 before his contact with Busch, but he ended up finishing one lap down in 25th.
“Kyle made it three wide there on the restart, and he was trying to make something happen,” Burton said. “I can’t blame him for that, but the least he can do is stay off of me and not cut my left-rear tire. I like racing with Kyle, I really do, I enjoy it. But when he gets over-aggressive, and I pay the price for it, I’m not going to tolerate it.” MiamiHerald.com
