Daytona Event Cover Released Today

Last September, nascar approached a man named Jay Koka with a task. They wanted the world known automotive artist to create the program cover for speed week at Daytona International speed way. After spending five months and countless attempts. Jay finally created something that the fans of the sport could really enjoy and appreciate. And now, the nascar association is proud to present Jay’s creation to the world.

The picture is of the 2009 Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth racing side by side with runner up Kevin Harvick as they zoom pass the final turn. The picture truly is a work of art. But the shocking part of this story is that this is Jay Koka’s first Nascar render ever. And boy is is a beauty. And the best part is, everyone who goes to the race will get to pick one up themselves. My only complaint is that they won’t release and full size prints of it. If they did, this thing would be in my room in a heart beat.
