Sen. John McCain is returning to Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday for the day’s big NASCAR race, according to the Republican presidential candidate’s campaign. (In 2006, McCain was grand marshal of the Sylvania 300 race.)
Campaign adviser Mike Dennehy of Concord said McCain, an Arizona senator, will be traveling without his vice presidential candidate, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.
Dennehy said McCain’s trip will be a one-stop affair and will feature no speeches, meetings or other typical campaign activity. “Other than saying hello to 105,000 people in New Hampshire, no,” Dennehy said.
