Andrea Caldarelli will have to forget the bad weekend had at Estoril: the Italian Toyota developmental driver encountered set- up and engine problems and, despite the motor’s substitution, had to face a tough - to- tame double race. Despite the warm and enjoyable weather, Andrea knew that everything would have been difficult since practice, when he never got in contention in all three session.
In qualifying, he ended up in 28th, the worst starting position of 2007, with out a chance to turn things around in the first race, ended up in 27th. On Race 2, Caldarelli climbed some more places back to score 23rd place, while Jon Lancaster cruised to a double win. He’ll be back on - track this weekend at Barcelona, in the final round of this season’s F. Renault Eurocup.
