In just his second full season in the NHRA Funny Car class, Tasca raced his way to victory at the NHRA Gatornationals in Florida. Tasca’s victory didn’t just serve notice that he’s a championship contender, it also moved him to second in Funny Car points. He’s just 38 points behind leader Ron Capps.

The team has done nothing wrong, but it’s losing its sponsor in Anheuser-Busch. The beer has been with Kenny Bernstein Racing for 30 years, but is pulling out after this season because it was bought by Belgian beer company InBev and is re-examining its marketing strategies.
