Justin Humphreys’ quickest run Friday of 6.639 seconds in near-perfect weather Friday lifted him into 11th place in the opening day of the O’Reilly Mid-South Nationals at Memphis Motorsports Park.

But he believes Saturday’s 11:15 a.m. first session could have conditions that will help his RaceRedi Motorsports Pontiac GXP run quicker.



“Saturday morning will be THE session,” Humphreys predicted.  “Unfortunately, we had a computer problem and we didn’t get any data on the run, so we really don’t know how good it was. 

“This is the first time in awhile that we’ve qualified in the top 12 on Friday. We’ll try to move up a couple of positions on Saturday.”
