MB Motorsports, parent company of FreestyleMX.com, Inc. - operator of the world’s largest motocross website and largest international organizer and promoter of freestyle motocross events - today announced the formation of a brand new off-road truck racing team.
Rugged Ford Ranger Edge built by Camburg Engineering is first vehicle in MB Motorsports new off-road racing team.
The team’s first vehicle is an awesome Ford Ranger Edge built by Camburg Engineering of Huntington Beach, CA. It is currently racing (and placing) in the BITD “Best in the Desert” 7200 mini trick truck class and now sits 2nd in overall points - and is only 7 points out of first place (with 340 total).
In 2007 races to date, it placed 3rd at the “Parker 425, ” 2nd at “Terrible’s 250, ” 5th at “Vegas to Reno, ” 5th at the “Las Vegas 300” and it is scheduled for the “Henderson 400” on December 1st (the last race of the year).
This Ranger Edge runs the Camburg front 19” Long Travel Edge system, with the billet hub upgrade and full TT Race rear 3 link system. The shocks are made by Bilstein. It runs the 9300 series Black Hawks in the rear, with a 60mm dual rate coilover. Up front, it runs a 9100 series dual rate coilover with a 3 tube by-pass shock. The rims and tires are Nitto “Dune Grapplers” on American Racing wheels. Precision gears in the Camburg full floater rear end are connected to an out TT race series 3 link system out back and to a Culhane C4 3-speed automatic linked to the 4.0 SOHC Ford V6 up front.
The first off-road truck race under the MB Motorsports banner will be run in February 2008 at the “Best in the Desert” meet in Parker, Arizona. The new team’s Camburg-built entry will be driven by former SCORE-class champion, Marc Burnett and sponsors include: FreestleMx.com, Boost Mobile, Rockstar Energy Drink, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, Nitto Tires, Camburg Engineering, American Racing ATX Series, JBA, Hella, AEM, Sparco, Beard Seats, Ironclad, IRC, SRH, OGIO, Dragon Optical, Precision Gears, Piloti and WD-40.
