ASALMS Management has revamped the way Post Race Information (P. R.I. ) will be relayed on all three websites after each event. Beginning with the 2008 Racing Season, all “P. R.I. “, such as the Awards Summary, Official Results, Photo Galleries, Updated Points Standings, and more, will all be implemented into one Official Press Release.
The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts final race of the Fifth Anniversary 2007 season is now complete. The cars and stars from all three divisions of the ASALMS; The Challenge, Northern, and Southern Divisions collided head on to close out the 2007 season in the running of the Adam Petty Memorial / All-American 200 at the famed Music City (TN) Motorplex, in Nashville, Tennessee.
The ASALMS would like to congratulate Wheaton, Illinois veteran, Eddie Hoffman on his Fourth Overall ASALMS Feature Win of the 2007 season. The 47-year-old took the lead on Lap 150 after contact between race leader, Brian Campbell and the lapped car of 16-year-old Dakota Stroup forced Campbell down on the apron, resulting in Campbell going for a spin coming out of Turn Four.
The Prairie State driver then withstood serious challenges from 22-year-old Jacob Goede, a Two-Time ASALMS Challenge Division Feature Winner in 2007, to claim his Third Copley Guitar in four career ASALMS appearances in Music City. This was Hoffman’s fourth overall guitar as he won previously in the now defunct NASCAR Midwest Tour.
For Hoffman, this was his Fourth Overall ASALMS Feature Win of the 2007 season. His first came on July 28, 2007 in the Rockford 100 at the Rockford (IL) Speedway. He later backed that up with the victory at his home track of the Grundy County (IL) Speedway on September 9, 2007 in the 1st annual Bob Milner Memorial 125.
Finally Hoffman captured his third checkered flag in the 2007 ASALMS Northern Division Season Championships / Oktoberfest 100 on October 6, 2007 at the LaCrosse (WI) Fairgrounds Speedway after fighting off Goede in that race as well. With the win in Music City, Hoffman extends his lead in Most Wins All-Time in ASALMS History with Nine (9).
