The Fifth Anniversary of the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts Challenge Division has now completed Race Number Five of 11 Points Events, 12 overall in “America’s Premiere Short Track Series” at the Iowa (IA) Speedway in Newton, Iowa.
The beautiful 0.875 Mile Progressively Banked Paved Oval located just East of Iowa’s capital city of Des Moines in Newton, Iowa was the site for Race Number Five on the 2007 ASALMS Challenge Division Schedule; The Make-A-Wish 150 Presented by TMC Transportation and Northland Oil.
New Germany, Minnesota driver, Jacob Goede, who started the weekend off right by winning the ARP Bodies/Aluminum Racing Products Fast Qualifier Award, took the lead from fellow Rookie, Andy Hanson on Lap 51 and from there, held off a late charge from Current ASALMS Challenge Division Points Leader, Travis Dassow to win his first career ASALMS Challenge Division Feature!
