Andrew McKee Claims Fever Win



Dave Hatton won the A Dash in route to the 20-lap win for Road Runner main event slowed by cautions. Hatton is the third different main event winner for the Road Runners this year. Steve Mathers finished second, points leader Russell Syverson third, heat winner Heath Denson claimed fourth followed by Jamie Allen.

Scott Rupert won the C Dash and B Main. Bernie Beard won the B Dash and Heat. Other winners included Rick Andrews, Ryen Tarr and Brian Sawatzki.

Yvonne Lifsey survived a night of bumper wars to claim the Bump to Pass main event over Travis Cox, Bob Willis and Vern Dorsey, The win was Lifsey’s second of the season. Darryl Carillio driver of the “Crazy Taxi” won the heat race but his night ended in a swirl of spark and rubber when his tire flew off after contact half way in the main event.

Saturday the Inland Northwest Super Stock Series kicks off their fourth season of Super Stock and Late Model racing in the area. Spokane’s Dave Garber, Jack Morse, John Mandere and North Idaho’s Jeff Little and Corey Allard are expected entries. Two past champions of the series are also expected to appear.

Late Model 4’s and Hobby cars will also start their rain-delayed season. Saturday events start at 6pm. Adult admission is $13, kids under six are free. A family pass, two adults and three kids, is $30. Tickets stubs from the rainout can be used for admission.

The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues every Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners, Fever 4’s, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just $5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
