The ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division Presented by GM Performance Parts is heading back to the Hawkeye State for the second consecutive weekend! The ASALMS Challenge Division contingent of crews, drivers, fans, officials, and teams are back on the road and heading back out to the state of Iowa, more specifically, Newton, Iowa.
With last weekends’ Barron Motor Supply/Crate Motor Classic 200 Presented by Cassill Motors at the Hawkeye Downs (IA) Speedway now in the rear view mirror, new ASALMS Challenge Division Points Leader and Feature Winner in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Travis Dassow and 40 of his fellow competitors within the ASALMS Challenge Division are sticking around or heading out to the Hawkeye State this weekend.
The second of two consecutive weekends in the great state of Iowa will be the Fifth Race of the 2007 Season in “America’s Premiere Short Track Series”, the ASALMS Challenge Division will invade the immaculate Rusty Wallace Signature Series facility; The Iowa (IA) Speedway, located East of Iowa’s capital city of Des Moines in Newton, Iowa on Friday and Saturday May 18-19, 2007 for the running of the Make-A-Wish 150 Presented by TMC Transportation and Northland Oil.
Joining the ASALMS Challenge Division during the weekend on the fast 0.875 Mile Progressively Banked Paved Oval will be a NASCAR Grand National Division combination event pitting the East and West Divisions together in one show on Sunday May 20, 2007. In addition, the United States Super Trucks (USST) Series will join in on the festivities on Saturday night with the ASALMS.
