“America’s Premiere Short Track Series” the ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division Presented by GM Performance Parts continues to make preparations for two of the most important and historic events in the series’ Five-Year history!
After a Three-Week break, the Cars and Stars of the ASALMS Challenge Division will head down to the beautiful Motor Mile (VA) Speedway, located South of the Virginia/West Virginia border and Southwest of Roanoke in Radford, Virginia on Friday and Saturday July 20-21, 2007 for the Radfest/Race Against Drugs 200.
Joining the ASALMS Challenge Division for the Eighth Race of the Fifth Anniversary 2007 season in Radford, Virginia will be the Motor Mile Mod-4s and U-Cars. The Entry Form for the Radfest/Race Against Drugs 200 is available and due at the ASALMS Home Offices in Lexington, Michigan by Monday July 16, 2007 to avoid late fees.
The Radfest/Race Against Drugs 200 will also serve as the final event for the ASALMS Challenge Division before the biggest ASALMS race in the series Five Year History two weekends later; The Crate American Race 200 at the famed Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The Top 10 in the ASALMS Challenge Division Owner Points Standings are Guaranteed a starting position in the race at the famous 0.533 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval.
The 0.416 Mile Semi-Banked Paved Oval in Radford, Virginia has hosted the ASALMS Southern Division on one occasion back on August 5, 2006 for the Stockner Excavating LLC 100. The immaculate Radford, Virginia oval was the gracious hosts for the ninth race of the 2006 season for the South contingent.
