For 2006 ASA Late Model Series Northern Division Champion, Jesse Smith, the 2007 season hasn’t been anything to write home about. However the St. Louis, Missouri pilot has continued to persevere through a trying season as he chases after two Championships within the ASALMS.
The 2007 campaign calls for the Reigning ASALMS Northern Division Champion to run the full slate of events in both the ASALMS Challenge and Northern Divisions with hopes of defending his ASALMS Northern Division Crown as well as capturing the championship in the ASALMS Challenge Division!
The next race on the 2007 Calender for the Jesse Smith Racing Team is this Friday and Saturday June 29-30, 2007 as a change of country perhaps will do the 17-year-old some good as the ASALMS Challenge Division makes its’ first ever appearance outside the United States.
The Canada 200 Presented by Sicard Holiday Campers at the Cayuga (ON) Speedway Park in Hagersville, Ontario/Canada serves as Race Number Seven on the Fifth Anniversary 2007 Schedule for the ASALMS Challenge Division. For Smith and crew, a change of scenery could do the whole team a world of good.
The Jesse Smith Racing Team is even bringing two cars to race in Canada this weekend with Smith behind the wheel of one and a driver “To Be Announced” will take controls of the other machine.
