15 year old Austin Hubbard of Seaford, DE has been fast all year but had yet to put it all together to get a victory. On Fantastic Friday 2 night at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway Hubbard ran a flawless lap to lead flag to flag and pick up his career first Victory Lap late Model feature win in dominating fashion.
“This feels awesome to finally get my first win, the whole crew deserves this win. I told them that I wasn’t not going to do small donuts on the track tonight, ” commented Hubbard with a big smile.
Matt Morgan of Hughesville, MD set fast time in the Victory Lap late Model 35 lap feature and inverted the top eight putting Brett Royal and Austin Hubbard on the front row leading the field to green with Hubbard in complete command of the lead. A quick caution reset the field for a complete restart. Like on the first start Hubbard rocketed to the lead.
